Domain
Name: Your domain name is your unique
Internet identity and will remain so as
long as you maintain that name. With your own domain name, you can
change hosts and still be found. A unique domain name will attract
traffic to the website because it will be easier to remember and
to find in a search. There are many services online to search
for available domain names so you can choose exactly what you want,
or something close (if that name is taken). A domain name should
be short, easy to remember, refer to your business name or services—also,
you must obtain the .com extension to capture the main traffic searching
using the .com platform. In preparation for website design, we can
do the searching and establish your domain name and bill you the
exact
cost
charged
by
the service.
Host Server: There are many companies offering a wide variety
of hosting services. These companies provide plans that can be compared
so you can make the decision as to which is the best
plan for your website. These companies range from the tried-and-true,
to the fledgling organizations—and as
you would imagine, some provide better service(s) (for instance,
no, or rare time lost by servers going down, the number of e-mail accounts,
support, etc.) while others may be
more
economical
for small or new businesses. In preparation for website design, we
can find a host and bill you the exact amount charged by the service
used.

By
using HTML, Illustrator, PhotoShop, JavaScript, DreamWeaver, FrontPage,
and other tools, we will create a customized look for your website.
Unique graphics and artwork will be used in your website
design. The construction of a website includes many elements that
are absent (or not obvious) in self-use products. A website should
be easy to navigate and should be easy on the eyes.
It must be put together in such a way as to provide a uniform look.
Pages should have similarities that provide a 'comfort' for viewers
as they browse and navigate through the site. Pages can have different
looks, but the layout should contain elements common to all pages.
|
We can
incorporate existing logos, graphics and photographs. Logos can also
be designed
and photographs taken for actual shots of people, rooms, buildings,
etc., and artwork created to present an idea or specific look.

Throughout
the process, there will be examples of a main design, and outlines
with the basic layout and look, before the pages are finessed
to a final
product. During this time, communication back and forth between designer
and client is essential to provide a product to everyone's satisfaction.
With agreement reached, we can set up e-mail addresses connected
to the website, if needed, and transfer files to the account
on your host server.

|
The best domain name and website won't be found unless
the site is registered
with the major web search engines. We will incorporate meta tags
into your website. These tags tell search engines what your website
is all about. A 'description' and 'keywords' will be included
in the source code, invisible to visitors, but used by search
engines as a method to describe your website. After transferring
completed files into your host account, we can list your website
with a service
that will submit the site to the
most
commonly
used
search
engines and bill you the exact cost
for the service.
|
We will
redo or update existing webpages at a cost
per page basis.

Quotes
will be prepared specifically to your website requirements based
on the size, amount of design/graphic work, and other services specific
to your website construction. Some
of these would be photographs, animated graphics, flash, etc.—intricate
work that would require extra time.
